We are a full-service shop, dedicated to repairing and restoring muscle cars and performance cars from the 1960’s and 70’s, street rods, rat rods, hot rods, and all kinds of vehicles. From the smallest task, like a tune-up, to a complete frame-off restoration, we can handle the job.
Some of the specialized mechanical services we provide include:
- Two wheel & four wheel disc brake conversions
- Aftermarket air conditioning installation
- Automatic overdrive transmission conversions
- Transmission rebuilding & installation
- Engine overhauls & installation
We also have a full-service body shop which can handle jobs ranging from minor paint touch-ups to panel replacement.
At C & J’s Classic and Muscle Cars, we offer a full level of restoration services for your classic or muscle car. Whether your vehicle needs a touch up here and there or a frame-off reconstruction, we can handle the job! We know classic and muscle cars, and you can expect quality down to the most exacting detail.
We take a special interest in all of the projects we take on. That means you can be assured your classic or muscle car will be done right, down to the last detail.
Lots of shops cut corners on the places most people never see, like the underside of the car. When your car rolls out of our shop, it will look as good (maybe even better) than the day it rolled out of the factory. It’s just the way we do business.
No matter what condition your classic or muscle car is in, we’ll give you an honest appraisal of what your vehicle needs to become your dream machine. While we specialize in Pontiacs, we’ve also done outstanding work on Camaros, Chevelles and Mopars. We’ll even talk to those Ford guys!
You’ll always be proud to pop the hood and let folks see what a true American classic looks like. The difference between a good restoration and a great restoration is in the attention to detail. And, as you can see, we pay attention to detail.
Costing & Pricing
Probably the most frequently asked question we receive involves how much a certain service is going to cost. While this is a very valid question, many times it’s very difficult to provide a specific, to-the-dollar, answer.
On complete restorations, we must completely dismantle the vehicle in order to make an accurate assessment of what will be needed in terms of parts and labor. We charge a flat fee for this service, which will be paid before we begin. After we have evaluated the vehicle, we will provide you with detailed information about what we feel the vehicle needs and give you a price for that service. Before we begin the restoration, we will require a deposit. This deposit will vary from project to project, but will be a minimum of 20 percent of the project total.
On smaller projects, we will endeavor to fully assess the vehicle and give you an accurate estimate of the cost. Understand that in the course of the project, we may find other problems which need to be addressed in order to perform the original task. Should we find additional issues that will raise the cost of our original estimate more than 10 percent, we will contact you before continuing.
We encourage you to ask questions BEFORE we begin a project. This way we are all “on the same page” and working together towards the same goal.
